Since this isn't Sun Flower, my technique to stop Rebels is to keep one Marshal slot open, when a rebel comes I send him to the town that is needed, and recruit 3 units, and bring in the other 6 that guard the town, destroy them, return the men, heal them, then disband him and work on any other rebelion.

What are your techniques?

i usually have a marshal dealing with rebels... usually the less skilled marshal stays on, lest say, my territory and eliminate riots while the others invade other kingdoms

marshal with army consisted of feudal knights etc.
promotions for fast traveling (don't know the name), stamina and faster moving on battlefield
based on province you station him he can guard 10-20 provinces, usually from invaders, rebels are just snacks

there is nothing like when 9 squads of feudal knights charge (and with stamina, it's a long charge) headed to kill enemy knight
in the process they kill half of the enemy army, but that's not the point...

ai can't stop this combination, my hardest battle was with bohemian marshal with siege equipment (those thing's that shoot big arrows), teutonic knights and crossbowmen --> lost two knight squads

average time on battlefield is 30 seconds

I usually use my king as a merchant,so if there is a rebellion,I make him a marshal in the town where the rebellion is,in the meantime I send the basic army against the rebels a nd the king with some newly recruited troops comes as a reinforcement. After the battle the king,or even better the prince-heir gains some experience and I use it for the skill Iron Fist>So when the next rebellion is on he is much more helpful. This is how I deal with rebbelions in the early stages of the game.In the more advanced stages of the game I usualy recruit second army-just cavalry, which can quickly crush rebels before they become strong
