Welcome to the forum.
You said it yourself, war in the early stages of the game can be bad. So try to achieve peace quickly via diplomacy and outrun your enemies economically before using military power.

Check back if you want advice on how to do certain things or when you want advice on what you should do in a certain situation. The more precise the question is the more detailed the answer will be.

Simple... Hire merchants, around 5 of them. Its a good thing to make your royal family merchants (your king and prince)

Once you've got the merchants... talk to other kingdoms and sign trade agreements. Then, click on your merchant and order him to trade GOLD with the kingdom you've signed the agreement with,

Once you've got all the merchants you want the next possibility to create money is building buildings. Anything, really. More buildings equals a bigger city equals more population equals more money. Every third building the city gains a 'level' and thus generates more money.

There are game-portals that allow you to legally obtain downloadable versions.
Check http://www.gamersgate.com/ if you want to know more. There are several providers like that.

As said before, I like to hire merchants, get my economy started (though not 5! around 3 should be good) get your relations higher to nearby large kingdoms since that gives lots of gold to trade with. Certain buildings such as inns combined with tax collector will raise money in provinces with lots of villages without the morale cost. Next, I would recommend absorbing small states around you to get more taxes. Avoid having too many marshalls since they can be pricey.

There's no need to insult people, he was just confused. When someone says I downloaded a game off gamesgate and they don't know gamesgate they might think you're stealing it, just inform them without calling them names.

war in the begining can be good, just get as many peasants in 2 armies as you can afford then just pillage constantly and double team any army that comes to stop you. be sure you attack a fairly small nation with no alliances
