Just received my colletors edition... but

I just received my collectors edition but to my astonishment there was no option to choose the language for the game.

So now I'm stuck with the German Version. Is there any way I can enable the English version or download the english client?

Also the Version number is 1.09 and has many more bugs then the recent beta version (overseers have same icon if you transform them, shifting ray has still the cost of 250 etc.) will there be an update soon or shall I report these bugs?

Anyway... the main servers are not even up. Thats why you cannot play with the beta-players and don't have any updates.

There will be big update. that will bring the release 1.09 version to 1.14 day or two after the release date.

Yep same here. If I were to get a German copy would BBS provide the English language files for the English speaking folks who got their copy through import or would they have to use erm less legal means to obtain an image of the English version?

After some trail and error and common sense I managed to 'unlock' English speech and text :). For this to work you however do require some files from the open beta:

Copy and replace "sound.xe" "speech.xe" and "texts.xe" from the Open Beta game folder in the directory data to your German game folder.

Now edit "C:\Documents and Settings\John Doe\Application Data\WorldShift\Cfg\Settings.ini" the "lang = str: de-DE" into "lang = str: en-EN" (duh) and presto! You now have English dialog and text in game, enjoy ;)

The only drawback would be that the in game cinematics don't work anymore but who cares : p

The space you get for uploading attachments is ridiculously small... only 250KB :bash:

well for ppl who dont like 1gb downloads to get there hands on 200 mb of usefull files here is a downloadsource for only the files u need with a quick ReadMe
hopefully i was the last one to download the complete game just to change language :D

Euh... I have collectors edition too, though I think I can also install it in english language, but maybe I still remember from the demo.
