View Full Version : question about koh
hello to everybody... only thing that i would change about koh is that you only have 9 slots (royal courts) for marshals, spies etc... can you improve that that is or more slotes because i would like to have a marshal in every second city in my kingdom? or that you can have one head marshal and every other is in his city? can you change than ? tnx
No, you cannot modify that part of the game. But truly, more marshal slots would make the game a lot easier than it already is.
I think that 9 is a pretty good number, adding in more slots would make it much to easy, while complicating the management of the game with so many more Knights to manage and keep track of.

maybe but i control about half of europe and could only have 9 knights and that is quite stupid because if i have 9 knights i cannot have any spies, merchants ...
and if rebellion breaks my troops have to travel few provinces to stop it. but if you had like a small troop in every city and it marshal that isnt in that 9 slots and only 1 head marshal that has large army it would be better because you could have more spies,merchants... how can you control large kingdom with 15 or more provinces with 2-3 marshals?
i think that it would only be an improvement...maybe is because i played europe universalis2 and 3 a lot :D and because you could have an army in every province it wasnt easier because more army is less many in your budget

It's already too easy. Six would be just fine, this way a player would be forced to think if he really needs another merchant or marshal. Nine is way too much.
I can explain. In a non-pagan state three marshals are enough for everything. One slot goes to a cleric. One to a spy. One is luxuary, it can be left free for enemy marshals or given to an Orthodox Patriarch successor or for a rare good trading merchant. Merchants are needed only in the beginning, lateron you can fire them all. In a pagan state you don't need a cleric, but you can hire another marshal to deal with pesky loyalists. See, that's it.

If you manage your Kingdom properly, you don't have to worry about rebellions!
I only use Merchants at the start of the game, after my Kingdom has grown I let them all go.
I will have 1 or 2 spies, 1 Cleric and 4-5 Marshall's. I have 2 Mashall's for Campaigning against other nations, these Marshall's I use to assault other nations.
I have a couple stationed in strategis spots near Kingdom borders where I suspect an enemy may venture and then I have 1 Marshall that is all cavalry to move quickly about to quell any rebellions that might suddenly rise up(most rebel problems I experience are of the famous rebel variety.)
