View Full Version : When are the other forum features coming?
I would really like to see some easy to make forum features. Such as
- Viewing User pages
- Members list
- Avatars
- Post count
- Forum ranks
- Images in signature
- Color and size fonts
*Click on anyone's name to see his/her user page.
*Memberlist (http://forums.blackseastudios.com/memberlist.php) (excluding administrators). The link is in the top menu of the site.
*Post count - see memberlist. There isn't much emphasis on post count this way, but it can be found. I like this as well.
*Forum ranks - already right under your name, see also memberlist.
And I like it without avatars and images. Text signatures are rather often the best.

I think avatars would be very nice, adds some character, much more important than images in signatures.
Frujin already said no to avatars and images in signature and remained silent over the previous text formating requests.
I think that avatars would be nice but not necessary.. and I think it's better without images in signatures... (that will only cause people to hide signatures)

Nope, my account is not fully activated, and if you look in this forum feedback board, you can see I posted the request to have another activation e-mail sent in the sticky, nobody has replied for about a month now.
I did send you activation email. Did you try to look in the spam folder of your mailbox?
Avatars will come at some point for sure, we just need some free time to prepare the forum update. Actually the only things we are nnot sure we like to implement are images in signatures and colors for formating the text (we have already basic format codes, excluding colors).

Maybe after WS come out Frujin and Company will fully active at this Forum
I know it's not the best tim and that BSS are rather busy now, but would it be possible to add at least some basic polls to the forum?

I personally want avatars and pictures in signatures(I cannot put my Xfire miniprofile there :cry:). Text coloring should stay for mods and admins.
Text coloring is non-obtrusive and very easy to do if allowed. It also does not require any more moderation by the staff than plain text does.
However pictures in signatures are obtrusive and should never be allowed. People go overboard with signature pics and create more moderation work for the board staff.

It may look like that because all the avatars are KoH avatars for now. I suppose, though, there will be WorldShift avatars too. It just needs some time, obviously.

Because I changed the limits, but don't warry, the "ratio" didn't change :)
an idea: there were several posts in KoH technical support asking about the beta, maybe rename the subforum to knights of honor technical support? at least for now...
