Black Sea Studios, now Crytek Black Sea, produced the games Knights of Honor and Worldshift. Their next project still has not officially been made known, but some images which could be screenshots from the sequel to Knights of Honor have been posted (http://forums.blackseastudios.com/showthread.php?p=2897#post2897). Would you like to play `Knights of Honor 2' in future?

Post clarifications and your opinion in this thread.

This is a non-public poll.

I am very eagerly waiting for Knights of Honor 2. There are only few games i am looking forward in the next years. Vainglory of Nations by Ageod, Grand Ages: Rome by Haemimont and some by Slitherine....all in all not a lot. I vow to make a new AAR if KoH2 is released (under the limitation that i works on my substandard computer...lots of Ram but only 1.8 Ghz).

Cheers

PS: unfortunately i can't run Worldshift (which i have).

Sure I am. I think I can't say more.

I didn't participate on KOH2 ideas thread that much for nothing.

I wonder, will there be any stateent from CBS?

With only Earthrise and Starcraft 2 to look forward to, I really hope the sequel is in the works.

Well, that is quite a unanimous result so far! Needless to say that I also look foward to KoH2...

Regarding the statement from CBS; I think they don't even really know yet what they can do and are going to do under the new banner. They weren't even sure of that when they were working on Worldshift, if I understood Frujin's post correctly. I hope they are still able to go any direction they want.

Of course, there is going to be. I can't commit to when and what. :(

I do indeed anticipate Knights of Honor II, however I am fearful that they might fall into the same trap hundreds of game sequels do; not living up to the original.

I don't want the game to be dubbed down for the populous (Knights of Honor is a very complex game that takes a while to get used to, but upon entering is amazing and fun forever).

I don't want the game to be about graphics (thats all companies worry about now. Though, I don't want a sloppy 3-d engine but after seeing Worldshift I doubt that will be a problem)

I don't want Command and Conquer or Total War (Those games are fun, but Knights of honor is an individual and has much better playing styles then the two!)

I do want to see what happens with it and where it goes. I am excited to see, and I can't wait!

[QUOTE=Frankoman;12535]II don't want the game to be dubbed down for the populous (Knights of Honor is a very complex game that takes a while to get used to, but upon entering is amazing and fun forever). [QUOTE]

"Knights of Honor is a very complex game" Yes - it certainly is - played since it was released those many years ago - now start up a new game perhaps every few months, and still am no way near uncovering the vast complexity of game play that exists

"amazing and fun forever" yes - the 'fun factor' remains after all these years - the repeat playability is outstanding.

So Frujin, surely its about time to officially get on with a sequel, and capture in KOH2 some of those many suggestions that have been generated on this and previous KOH sites?

Just to make things clear:

If you guys who makes the games see so much demand after a sequel, why can't u make one? i don't care if it would take 10 years, as long as it is a great/greater then the first one.

So what's the problem?
Money?
Staff?
Laziness?

Don't tkae this as an insult, i just wanna know why you just can't make it.

Maybe because that's not how the gaming industry works? Especially for smaller companies who can't afford to do whatever they want to. Especially after they've been bought by another company. Especially when they could develop, but not produce and distribute the game worldwide (or continent-wide) by themselves.

I agree. The development is not a problem IMO. The problem rather is who will pay it. Find them a good co-financer and producer and I'm sure there will be KOH2.

anyway. Frujin, are there any news you could share with us?
