The CL finals will soon be over and it seems that Barcelona's the new champ. Man United is normally my favourite team (Barsa being 2nd), but seeing the game today, I have to agree the victory is well deserved. What do you think?

Well as from my perspective all those clubs are full of foreigners so they should not be considered national clubs anymore.

You don't have to consider them national clubs. I don't do that either. They are just football clubs that compete in one or another league.
Barca definitely deserved this win. I also favored ManU, but they gave away too many good chances and then got frightened when Barca started to actually use chances.
All in all a good game, though at times it was rather boring with 6 whiteshirts standing in one line in front of the penalty area...
Levski Sofia will soon be in CL and will kick asses :D :go:

Jump and sing
We do this every match ;) We have many songs, but at the moment with the "fire choreography" we were singing a song called Blue Gods as far as I remember, it says - "eeeee, blue gods, all the world is kneeling in front of you"
Levski Sofia is the biggest football club, created 1914 and it carry the name of Bulgaria's greatest hero - Vasil Levski. In Bulgaria we all call Levski- "The team of the nation", as it has most fans... We are champions this season
The point in all matches is to be louder then the other them's fans :)
the men on the flags in my first post are the gretest person in our new history \ generals, revolutionary and monarchs \

Nice, in my city we have a quite big stadion but noone watches the games because our team is just too bad ...
You make a politicall demo on a football game ... I should try this ... Angela Merkel as large tatoo on my chest ... people would think I'm sick or mad.

Where are you from, in the stadions, when Levski plays there are fans from all over Bulgaria
Our stadium has 29 000 sits but when we play matches in CL or UEFA cup - we play in our national stadium- 42 000 sits
Wahahaha, Angela Merkel tatoo, can't stop laughing after I imagined it! :D :D*
Gogo, I don't know if we'll be in the CL this (next) season, but I very much doubt we'll kick anyone's ass there. Eventhough I'm a hereditary blue fan myself. ;) Then again, at least we'll show those red pigs who's the BG Eurofighter! :go:

True. F.e. in my class in elementary school we were all from Levski and one guy was from Loko Sofia. In my high school class we were again all from Levski and only one was from CSKA (though I can say he was smarter and cooler than the average red pig). So, from 55-60 people alltogether, only 2 are not from Levski. :) The other CSKArs are probably in prison/asylum/repeating deep-provincial village school for 5th year. :p
*Though Levski (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasil_Levski)'s not a modern politician, fortunately or not. He's our "Apostle of Freedom", born 1837 and killed 1873 (my great great grandpa was there at his hanging) by the Ottomans. Most Bulgarians consider him as an almost-saint, the brightest, smartest, most progressive and practically the best Bulgarian in the last several centuries. His ideas were very modern (for our modern days, I mean) and democratic in a time when almost all of Europe was still monarchic/imperialist. One of his most famous ideas is about "a pure and sacred republic" where everyone is equal, no matter their gender, age, race or religion, Turk or Bulgar etc. Of course, after our Liberation (5 years after his death), the first thing we did was to import a German prince for a king. Rather typical for us, I might say...

This remembers me of the circus parties in Constantinople. There was a blue and a green party and they almost destroyed the city during the Nika-riots.
I'll definetly read something about Levski he must be more popular than all German politicians together.
Btw. who was the german prince ? Do you mean the austrian prince ?
There were four colour-parties in Constantinople, as far as I remember. Though, yeah, two of them became the main ones, like with our clubs here. ;)
And for the prince I meant Alexander Batenberg. I think he's German, since his father was Prince Alexander of Hesse and Rheine (which are in Germany). After we kicked him out (which was a mistake, IMO) was the Austrian prince, Ferdinand Saxe-Coburg-Gotha. ;)

I never knew germany and bulgaria had that close relations. How all these germans got the rule over your land ?
Well, Alexander Batenberg was also nephew to the Russian tsar and he recommended him (Alexander had also taken part in our Liberation war). I'm not sure why Ferdinand was the one who took Alexander's place though. And why our relations with Germany (or the German countries, like Austria etc) have been so good in the last century and a half. But it's a fact that even today our biggest trading partner is Germany and even my high-school was based on a Bulgarian-Austrian project (with exchange teachers, heavy accent on German classes etc). Besides, the two alliances during the world wars, of course...

How many years have you been learning German now ? If you can understand german KoH as you wrote in my thread your German must be quite good.
5 years as primary foreign language, but I wouldn't really rely on my German knowledge for anything serious. That's why I prefer the English pack. :)

I heared from many foreign people that German is a very difficult language. Even many of the Turks who live in Germany can't speek it correctly after three generations ! I think it's like ancient Greek. I have been learninf ths subject for three years now but Iwouln't be able to ask for the time in ancient Athens.
I hope that also my team - Slavia Prague, will make it into CL..
Here are some pictures from Czech champions' "coronation" in Eden - Slavia's old/new home - since the new stadium was finnished last spring, only 2 teams (Aston Villa and Hamburger SV) managed to win there :-)

As far as I remember Levski did eleminate Slavia Praga 2004 in UEFA CUP

It sure is, though not as hard as Bulgarian (which, I've heard, is one of the three most difficult languages). I can order a coffee on German, maybe, but I'm rather thankful I don't drink coffee... :)

it is possible.. Slavia haven't played too well in last few years in European cups... our last bigger success was UEFA cup semifinals in 1996.
EDIT: I checked sources and you're right - after 2 draws (2:2 in Prague, 0:0 in Sofia) Levski has eliminated Slavia in 2nd round

Yeah, pretty much the same for Southern Bulgaria as well. Though I don't know Turkish either - I always skip the Turkish news-broadcast on the national TV.
P.S. What's HSV? Hamburg?
