View Full Version : I really like this game, but two changes would make me love it.

Inheritance:

1. Why oh Why, can't the princesses, if unwed at the time of their father's death, become Queen in their own right?

While rare, it has happened, especially after 1550's in England. (I know the game doesn't run that far, but anyhow I digress.)

2. I often choose the second, or if lucky, third sons to be Marshalls since I know they are not spies. Although, I do believe once I had one turn out to be which I find highly doubtful, but I suppose you could say that he was bitter and turned against the monarch, but unlikely.

Anyway, if I make a second or third son a Marshall, Cleric, whatever, the AI should be aware that he is a royal descendant, and thus, if his brother dies without an heir, he should be next in line for the throne. I've had large kingdoms basically split into two, three countries after a king dies, and his "brothers" are still my knights.

These two changes would really place this fun game at the top of my list.

yeah, and something for the life of the knights, 'couse it's not verry realistic \and interesting\ when your marshal is ~500 years old and still alive but your patriarh 80 eyars and will soon die... ;)
Ohhh, and if there will be KoH 2 \I hope so\ it will be verry good if there are years and seasons.... like "on 10th of November, 1444, your knez, Vladislav Frujin, died" (as there's one theory for Frujin's death....)
In KoH 2, I would be verry happy to see more units \3d or 2d doesnt metter\ like more specific for nation or region...
some more diplomatic offers like- "if you give me that, I'll give you this" or "if you don't stop the war with my vasal, I'll crush you like un egg" etc
:D

I'm pretty sure I once had a 2nd or 3rd son turn into a spy, don't know how it happens.

It's not possible, He can be first son and if you choose the second to be King- the first can become into a Rebel ;)

it can happen - if he's a knight for a long time, the AI can bribe him to become AI spy. it was an old feature that was planned to work also for the player, but after all it is active only for the AI

He said the old loyal knight is assassinated and impersonated by the spy. The player's spies can do that too. It's very seldom though.

Yes. The AI spies can also do that to human knights, but it happens very seldom. That means, that theoretically your ex-Princes might turn to be spies as well, but it will take some time. If it happens too soon after King's death - than it is a bug that shuld be posted as such.

I haven't played game for long and decided now to try it with patch 1.05 - but it is interesting info -look: can you recall your marshall -princeling after the death of king and by doing so to make him legible heir again ?
