View Full Version : A couple of questions + site update suggestions

I recently found about this game and it looks quite promising. I breezed through the site and the forums and there seems to be no information about a few key things.
So here are a few tips for possible future updates:
1. More info about the multiplayer. Is it going to be a competitive game? Apparently there will be a strong cooperative vibe to the game but what about the player vs player aspect? The ability grid thing and the modifiable factions suggest a strong metagame side which usually leads to some great competitive play (Guild Wars and MtG anyone?).
Assuming there are going to be any competitive modes will they be separated from the cooperative part of the game? That is, are you supposed to grind for items and relics in order to be competitive?
Are there plans for in-game clan support?
Also, is this game going to be online only? I am a bit confused about this, no clear info.
2. Start filling the Library and the Ability Grid sections of the site. More background on the story and the world instead of a bunch of random screenshots every now and then will be welcome. No offense but a lot of the shots look the same and do not show anything new.
1st Question.
It seems that WS will be avaible for SP (Single Player)
Hell, if it only for MP then I couldn't play it
Let me answer to these questions I can at the moment. Only please, keep in mind, game is still under development and some features may change.

There are several modes available: Cooperative missions, Single Player Story missions, Multiplayer practice games, Deadmatch (1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 random players, 2v2 and 3v3 pre-made teams).

This will come as well :)

Yeah, we know that already.
The question is - when?!
And how about 1vs2 or 2vs3 deathmatches?
How about 4vs4??? :O
Will the maximum number of players be 6?? (if my calculations are correct [:P], 3+3=6  )
I want 8 player matches!!!

Thanks for the reply. So what is the difference between practice games and deathmatch games? The deathmatch games are ranked? Actually, is there going to be a ladder/leaderboard? Also any plans for tournament support?

In practice games you can .. well .. practice. You can choose your opponents, you can add AIs. BUT you will not get any rewards for a victory, nor you can find get items in this mode. But you can test your faction builds, you can try different tactics or research different tactics versus different opponent builds and combos.
In deathmatch games you can not choose your opponents. However, you will get rewards for victory and you will find items and relics on the map (of course, it is up to you and your team to actually fight your way and earn them). There are items that can be obtained only in deathmatch games, and that can't be found anywhere else in the game.

Yes.

If I could be more specific - I would ... but I can't :) *Hmmm .. was this correct in English?! Anyone?*
P.S. By the way, there are answers to some of your questions already given in this forum. Too bad I am so busy that I can't go and collect them all in a single thread anytime soon :bash:

It would be nice if you could at least say the season you plan on releasing:), say, sometime during the fall or winter? Or do we have to wait until 2009?

Yeap, correct ;)
Though, I don't like it really...
