View Full Version : "Message text" formatting
Is it possible you could add some message text options, i.e. size and color?
Thanks for the consideration!
Let me think of it :)Think... or look up how to add it? :p

i think looking it up how to add it :p
No no .. I know how to add it. But I don't think it's a good idea for now.

Please clarify what you think is not a good idea if you will. If you mean to not allow the color, font, and size editing in the text, you could "drive" those like me away, as I'm visually impaired and have a hard enough time reading and editing my own posts the way it is. I have to copy and paste into Notepad so I can read any forum the way it is, so I don't expect others to do it, but a very "key" feature for me if I'm to be here and participate (as I also noted in my thread).
So, if not added, I will have to disable PMs and most likely won't participate much if at all if this is what you meant.
Sincerely,
Phil

@Phil: I'd suggest you to use a browser that supports zooming, like Opera and propably also Firefox and IExplorer. If I want to increase the readability of any website I just have to press the + key to increase textsize. That should be very convenient for visually impaired users.

Not to sound like it isn't appreciated, but have my Text Size set to Largest already and I use IE6 (and won'[t have 7). Firefox is not user-friendly to me and if I alter the settings of my browser via the Accessibility options it screws up my mail and other programs, and mail to me is much more important than anything else I use the net ofr.
So, while I appreciate the suggestion, it has been offered before and I've tried all possible. When legally blind as long as I have been, I know my limitations and why I know what works best for me. In this case, if no text editing is possible for the common user (who has tech skills and troubleshootng abilities to offer as well), my time and usage of this forum will be less as I have these abilities on other forums I help out on.
Sincerely,
Phil

why? Do you think it could somehow make the forum worse?

Not worse by any means! It's just when I can't even read and edit my own posts, I will not become active with things as they are. I'm a perfectionist by natrue, and if I can't see to correct my onw mistakes, I won't get involved until then. This is why I'm very selective on the borads I join and being it is a vBulletin style I thought it would have all the feautes I can use on other boards where I do participate.

Phil
