I think the Bulgarian definition of "soon" is quite different from ours. to me, "soon" means in a couple of days, 1 or 2 weeks max. To you it seems to mean 1+ month(example: the big update we have been waiting for since the 26th of November), Even a year, in the case of Koh's patch (although it was more of a problem with Sf.)
I know you guys are very busy and it is understandable, but if you are going to keep us hanging with false "soons", is better that instead you just say that you are very busy and there won't be updates for some weeks or months or w/e.
Just my 2 cents.
Of course "soon" can mean a month or more - the game is made for years, not days, so a month from its development is a rather short part and is "soon". Plus - yes, "soon" is a relative word in and all by itself - depending on the context it can mean seconds or centuries. In this case it logically means "we're getting close to it, but we can't give specific time periods, since many things can appear in the meanwhile".

My theory is Frujin keeps saying "soon" because he doesn't want to admit to himself that he has to stay late to work for the next 3 weeks again. ;)

It is good BSS unveiled the game not far from the release date. It would have been very painful with the fans always wanting something. We already know the game may be released first or second quarter of 2008(this means March or April) so the DEMO should be ready soon.
Well, Richard is right here. And I will spoil it then .. we are currently thinking of an open beta. I don't want to give a false promise, as I am not sure what future brings. But if there will be open beta, it is possible (just possible) for this to happen.... this month :)
We will see. Please do not take any of my words as an official statement or announcement.

Anyways, sry if I was too harsh. And is true, in the gaming industry soon means months in terms of game development. I will just be happy with you guys making a great game, who cares about updates as long as you release a clean work of art. :)
And Frujin, hope you guys get rich because of Worldshift break the game sales!!
Oh, and BSS isn't give rights of the game to the Black Inc. right? Then why the german reviews all say it Black Inc. game? Why?:bash:
