Very nice compact interface - I like it. I want to see how a group of units is displayed when you select them.

I wonder what is this 5% stat below the damage stat. And also the green-yellow-orange bar under the damage. Damage spread maybe?
Also the blue something above the mini-map is a bit weird, whatever that might be.

SkullX: There is probably even more missing stuff, the game is not yet in beta so that's normal.

3 days to go so the game is pretty much in beta. I mean what MAJOR change can they do in 3 days. And yet BSS is probably testing the beta that will be given to the first 5000 people. If there are bugs on the interface it may be because of old alpha screens.

It shouldn't be.

Nothing special but the texts should definetly be larger.

I don't know, you will propably only read the texts once anyway. After that you know what it says there and a bigger font would only obstruct more space without offering more information.

Lol are you blind. After all you don't need to read that much.
A question to Frujin - Will there be ingame voip chat, or we must use programs like teamspeak and ventrilo?

wth a font size of 8? At least it looks so... And i'm not saying i cant read it, it just takes a bit longer to your eyes to adjust to it. If the size was 12 or so then you could read these in a glance...

but you constantly have to check the amount of money you have, unit hp etc.

The screenshots were taken in 1600 resolution and then downsized to fit on the website. That's what makes you think the fonts used are too small. I admit, we should be more careful with resizing next time :)

Well I just went thruogh the new screens and I really must say the interface looks bad...
Esspecially the upper-left corner.
Those pics just don't fit at all.... :crushed:
The unit info takes a lot more space than needed... And the unit pic is too small. :|
I want to see how a group of units is displayed when you select them.
Yeah, I'd like to see that one...

The mini-map needs a lot more work (quiet everyone except Frujin, I know it's a beta)
Also the blue something above the mini-map is a bit weird, whatever that might be.
probably enlarges the mini-map or something...

Let's stop here, cause I'm gonna get really flamed for telling the truth.
Plus, the idea of all that screens and videos, and the beta version is to give BSS some critics, so they could cnow what we want...

... the texts should definetly be larger.
And... which text exactly?

Agreed only on the minimap part.

all of them, but:

so it seems they arent that small. But if its so how Frujin says then adjusting the resolution it changes the size of the UI? Coz if i take a screenshot from a game in 1600*1200 then in 1024*768 and after I watch the screenshot on full screen mode (lets say my default resolution in win is 1024*768) then the first ss will be minimized and the 2nd will fit the screen. But the ratios of everything is the same. So it looks if I choose different resolutions the ratio of the UI to the rest of the game will change? ...or I must misunderstand somthing:confused:

Not exactly. The ratios are "fixed" from a certain resolution up wards. Actually the game supports ANY resolution you can think of. Wide screens included. And that comes with the fact that the interface is done in some non-trivial way.

But, to get back to our specific case - yes .. you see fonts smaller than they actually are. However, it is also true that we want to provide very minimalistic interface so you see as much as possible from the game itself. And there are not much texts in the game anyway.

Interface was made in Lua, and we have plans to enable users to make their own "addons" for improving or even changing the interface. This feature will not come with the retail version but is very likely in the future.

And hope you enable modding, while you're at it, yes?
And it's pretty easy to mod LUA files, if you're talking about that. Only need notepad, there, I can edit it...

I like that it is done in LUA. So is Supcom and a lot of others. Means it will definitely be moddable, and even minor errors the devs leave in can be cleaned up by the community if need be.
