I've installed correctly and set my firewall up but I still have issues downloading the patch, it just sits at 0% for as long as I sit there, any help would be great

You should look through the forum before asking a question like this. There are tons of patch related posts in here with the same problem as you. If your using Vista you have to run it as an admin. You right click on it and choose "Run as Admin". This information is in one of the patch threads.
