Camera movement:

- You can use the WSAD or the arrow keys to move the view around.
- You can rotate and the camera by moving the mouse while holding the middle mouse button.
- You can rotate AND tilt the camera by moving the mouse while holding the ALT key and the middle mouse button.

Selecting units:

- Individual units are selected by left clicking on them.
- You can select all units of given type by double clicking a unit of that type or by clicking on it while holding the CTRL key.
- Multiple units can be selected by dragging a selection rectangle around them with the left mouse button.
- Clicking on a non selected unit while holding the SHIFT key will add it to the current selection. Respectively SHIFT clicking on a selected unit will remove it from the selection.
- You can select any of your officers or your commander by left clicking on their portraits in the top left corner of the interface.
- You can select individual units that are members of your current selection by left clicking their portraits in the bottom left corner of the interface
- You can create up to 9 selection groups by selecting some units and then pressing CTRL and a number key from 1 to 9. You can select previously created selection group by pressing its corresponding number key on the keyboard. If you press the number key again the camera will center over the units in this group.
- You can cancel your current selection by clicking on open terrain.

Moving and attacking:

- You can move your units by selecting them and right clicking on the terrain. You can also move units by right clicking on the minimap.
- Your units will auto attack any enemy that is attacking them. You can specify targets for your units by right clicking on an enemy unit.
- You can order some units to follow another unit by selecting them and right clicking on the leader unit. The followers will automatically acquire the targets of the leader unit

Actions:

- The available actions of all units in your current selection are shown as icon buttons on the bottom part of the interface. You can check what an actions do as well as its hotkey by moving the cursor over the button.
- In most cases executing an action will drain some of the unit's power. If you don't have sufficient power you can't execute the action. The power of the unit will slowly regenerate over time. You can also use special units (Power Overseer and Stone Ghost) to regenerate power faster.
- Most of the actions have a "cooldown" interval. This is the minimum interval between 2 executions of an action. For example if you execute the High Priest Holy Shock action on a friendly unit and you want to execute it on another you must wait 12 seconds (even if you have the power) because the Holy Shock cooldown interval is currently 12 seconds. The cooldown interval is different for different actions and is indicated on the Action button for each action.
- You can execute actions by left clicking on the Action buttons or by hitting the action's hot key. Some actions are executed immediately. For others you must point a target by left clicking on an unit or on the terrain. This will be indicated by changing the cursor to a hand.
- The action buttons will have a little number on it showing how many "charges" of this action are available at the moment. For example if your selection contains 2 Assault Bots with full power the number on the Barrage button will be 2 because at this moment you can cast 2 Barrages. The number will change according to the unit's current power and if some of the unit's actions are currently on cooldown.
- You can execute the action of all units selected by holding CTRL when specifying the action target. For example if you have 5 Assault Bots in your selection you can left click on the Barrage button and then CTRL left click on the terrain. The all of your Assault Bots will start spitting rockets simultaneously usually causing destruction of everything in the impact area.
- You can give Action target for each unit that have specific action by holding SHIFT while targeting the action. For example if you have 3 Assault Bots in your selection you can click the Barrage icon and then click 3 times on the terrain while holding the SHIFT key. This will cause the first Assault Bot to fire rockets at the first target, the second on the second target and the third to the third target.
- There's a small "light" below each action button. The light will change from green to red according to the distance at which the action can be executed. If the light is green then you can execute action at the current mouse location without delay. If the light is orange or red your unit must approach the target location before executing the action.
- You can select target for your actions by left clicking on the portraits of your commander and officers or on the icons in the selection window.

Notification:

- You can see the current amount of health, power and shield of all units on the screen by holding the ALT key.
- You can send a mini map notification for your team by left clicking on the mini map while holding the ALT key.
- You can place a permanent mark on an unit with F5-F8 keys. The mark will be visible to your team and also will cause mini map notification at the mark location.

In 2v2 and 3v3 DM, to talk to all, hold down on [Shift] when you hit [Enter]. ;)

To attack+move, hold down on [Ctrl] when giving the move command.

Is there any way to force your units to attack something? lets say the ground? or your allies?

There is a bug with the icons and they can't be removed. It will be fixed at some point ;)

Except there's no command in that list above that says there is even a way to remove markers without sticking them all on a trooper and dropping him on a trash pack.

Lol if i'm right the german manual tells to use the Shift key to place queue.

I'll check this ... and inform black inc if it's wrong :D

I believe it is also in the game tips, that are showing when the game loads, but still shift doesn't work to queue a command which is kind of annoying sometimes. It would give a nice focus on the micro level (even StarCraft had this option back in 98..). It would be really nice to be added with the other commands like - stop, hold position, patrol and so on...

Well there is STOP command. (little red X just next to the abilities icons).

Hold position will be useful but not that vital. I had problems with it only on coop missions.

Patrol ? You sure you want to use it? I have never managed to utilize it well on other RTS.

But queue might get useful :)

Well I use it alot actually. And in WorldShift there is also some situations, when, at least for me, would be very helpful. For example to put a worker to patrol near a base of mine, or between two xenoshard deposits and so on. It's not that vital really, but still it would be of use. And after all this isn't uber hardcore coding that we are talking about here, just some standart features that people are used to seeing in a RTS game :)

You can use shift to chain actions of the same type. For example, if you have 3 judges, you can click on proton grenade action, than hold shift and click on 3 locations on the map. The judges will choose each one of the pointed spots and will try to perform the action as fast as possible.

Or with assault bots - you can select them, click barrage, hold shift and "say" .. "i want barrage here, here and here".

If you press control instead - you will tell your assault bots that you want "all to do barage here!" So, select a-bots, choose barage, press control and point location. They all will perform it together there.
