Why do so many companies use systems like fileplanet.com to host their beta's, when those sites require payment to be a member?

I guess it's a deal, because 5000 DL's is much traffic and 25k even more *hehe*(you know traffic is not free), so Fileplanet has the first batch for it's Subscribers, and later it will host the Open(25K)beta as well*, so both sides have some advantage.
*Where you can DL the Open Beta with a free FP Account.
It's just guessing.
Btw some Companys use FP Subs. for betas because every Subs. User has paid with a CC so the Company has some material for legal action if there is a really restricted NDA.
