The thunderstorm is pretty kool especially with my sound set up makes me feel like im in the storm; but every time the lightning flashes everything on the screen goes white idk if thats what you planed but its kinda really annoying

Yes that's the intended effect. Seems to be a love it or hate it kinda thing. I've seen more people loving it though so don't expect it to go :)

I do agree that the lightning effect is cool looking and I would personally keep it in. Have either of you thought that the sound was possibly too overpowering?

Yes the sound is pretty loud, but you can tune that.

What is funny is the lightning is only in certain areas and times. It seems to be triggered during certain battles to add a fog of arm stresser. Where you view of your troops is diminished and interrupted. I like the psychological effects this game has. I am a former USMC so I appreciate the realism of this aspect of gameplay.

I like the effect. Kind of like extreme black and white cell shading, that makes it have a comic book appearance. It has a suddel split second of artistic personality that makes the game look fresh, LOL.
