Isnt that a bit easy?
In addition i think map must be tweaked a bit. When Cults come and scare your units they often ran in traps. Its annoying
I think the thing with the traps is just fine. If u activte them with denkar before u engage the enemy they have cooldown and your units wont activate them.
Mech fight isnt that easy btw =P

this worked in 0.8.5 or 0.8.6 and it really was that easy. i tried it several times. look when i posted it. now its harder to get him but i havent tried now
Well fight is still kinda easy.
I got him down only using eji, commander and ganthu.
Even after Patch.
I mean it's not an easy fight at all but still doable really easy.
You just need full mana and a good timing then you can do it as I did :)

The fight is easy.
At the last waypoint before the Mech all of my Units already were dead (stupid traps xD), except Denkar, Ganthu, Eji, 2 Troopers and one of these Bots. The first Trooper died before the Mech, the Mech didn't kill anything (the tactic by DanteOne worked. The Mech attacked Denkar, Eji healed and the other three Units gave some support), the last Trooper and the Bot were killed by the aliens and the rest of the group somehow survived (to much luck, I think lol).

That tactic dosent work anymore, even with Eji and Ganthu its not enough healing.

It still works, get him closer to the mech and your healing further out. He won't attack Ganthu at max range. Same with your assault bots. Use injection and Ganthu's healing when it gets low.

He outdamages any possible healing you could possibly ever do. It's ridiculous.

you know u must put denkar RIGHT in front of him. if he shoots with rockets then your too far away

I realize many people may have said exactly the same thing as I am about to say but what the heck.
Move your entire army to the robot, then move your commander to the switch activate it and then go away from keyboard.

Same here. This tactics doesn't work anymore. The laser beam does so much damage that energy used for healing depletes very quickly and eventually you die. It's quite annoying. Considering the fact that most of your troops were wasted on traps and ambushes and in the end you have to beat Mech0 with that what's left of your troops, I would say this map is unbalanced and needs some tweaking.
EDIT: I finally beat it. I had to use Denkar as a bait as suggested on the begining of the mission. This tactic allowed me to save most of my troops for final battles.
I think this situation is way too hard and imbalanced. I mean who is this game intended for, some nerds who want to play this level like 6 times before sucess. I needed to distract him to the end of the level with a trooper to get pass and still the do a wave of enemies after that.
Guys if you ever want to sell this game you should start to think of customers who do not play hardcore Starcraft.
This also account for several other levels.
