Victory Points

Game Mode is pretty Easy:
Set up 3 Points in a map to hold. Players must capture and hold these Points to win. There are two possible winning conditions, you might check out which would be better:

1.
Give players startpoints 500 or 1000. If a player/team holds over 50% of points the enemies points will dropping from 500/1000 to 0. First player/team reaching 0 looses.
In a 1on1 it might be 3 Points. In 2on2 5 points. If a player gots all 3 points in 1on1 or a team all 5 in 2on2 points of enemies are dropping faster.

2.
If a player/team holds over 50% of points a countdown will start (about 2 minutes) after which he will win. Countdown will abort if player players control falls under 50%

Capping Units
There are different ideas i got how to cap these points, but i dont know which one will be the best, so i list them all with short explenation what would be good about it.

- Only 1 or two units of a faction are able to cap (maybe only the trisat) -> make normal units to some sort of VIP-units that u need to protect. enemies will look specially for these units, which gives the game more tactic.
- Commander/Master must cap a point like an artifact -> I took some time and he cant be used while capping, which would make this unit a good target for the enemy, but would lead to some nice combats at the last seconds of a countdown
- One Special unit thats only for VP-Mode. this unit took some time to be build, is weak & slow but need it to cap a point -> will benefit small combat groups that search for this unit behind enemy lines, cause players will hold it behind there army cause its too easily killed

Sorts of Capping
There are different sort how to cap a point i though of. You may choose best.

- Points owned by a player must first be neutralized which should take 10-15 seconds
- Capping a point with a unit should take 20-30 seconds
- other possibility could be an area around the point where u must be to neutralize/capture a point, which would make cap-units unnecessary

I think this game-mode would make a pvp much more strategic and brings more depth to the game

Hey Dante -

I think this is just not doable in the remaining time frame until the release of the game.

Personally, I think that game modes like capture the flag, domination etc. does not fit properly in the universe of the game. Although your idea sounds fun... but with every game mode, this would need a lot of balancing too and personally I am very happy the PvP mode as it is.

Then it (or another PvP mode) may come in a future after release update?

Not doable?? Why not? i think they got a lot of time left. Game is already on a fine state and with the objects i seen in the single player missions i think the mode is easily possible.

I did not talk about CTF or Dom BUT they would fit very good.
-> Capture the flag could be Capture the artifact, that u must stole from enemies base
-> Domination, why should a faction not try to hold a key position that provides something special? Maybe an artifact that needs a minute to be activated so you need to stay a minute at this place. enemy tries get this thing too.

And no that wont need much balancing... Many other games prove that. they have normal DM and Victory points or something in this way without anything special about units

We have very serious plans for supporting and evolving the game much further after it's released . Provided there are enough people who really likes it we will include new PvP scenarios, PvP-PvE competitions, Arena like custom maps, etc.

hope they doesnt come too late. otherwise the community will give up the game before it reaches its best. a small community is a death sentence for a game.

sometimes its better to push a release date back than releasing a incomplete game. many players dont wait patiently for the game to get patches and updates...

Sounds cool to me.
