Can someone help me? I tried to make a new coutry on my own and I failed.
It's only for kingdoms800. For the first period.
Name of the Country: Balamb
Location: Crete
Territories: Only Crete
flag:
color1: 11
color2: 2
ornament: 28
title: Garden
King's Title: Grand Prince
Queen's Title: Grand Princess
Kingdom Special Units: Roman Infantry, Longbowmen, Jinettes*
I am asking if someone will help me to create my country - any help will be valuable to me thanks in advance!!!

Creating a new kingdom

When creating a new kingdom - copy one of the existing files to original directory, rename it and define as you want.
maps\europe\knights\regions_800.ini
maps\europe\knights\regions_1000.ini
maps\europe\knights\regions_1200.ini
religion of provinces(only if the religion is diferent than kingdom's), knight nationality of provinces
maps\europe\knights\moravian*.ini
holds names of knights, princes and princesses of certain nationality
*or also english, german, baltic, arabic etc.
When creating a new nationality - copy one of the existing files to original directory, rename it and define as you want.
PS: To create a new kingdom you have to change all those files:
maps\europe\kings\bohemia;1200.txt - create new one
maps\europe\politmap\kingdomnamepos0.in2
maps\europe\politmap\kingdomnamepos1.in2
maps\europe\politmap\kingdomnamepos2.in2
maps\europe\map\kingdoms_1000.ini
maps\europe\map\kingdoms_1200.ini
maps\europe\map\kingdoms_800.ini
maps\europe\map\train_units.xls
maps\europe\map\train_units.txt

Texts\knights\eu_knights.tsv

The basic problem is that a step-by-step tutorial would be a couple of pages long and would need several hours to write.
Try looking at an existing mod that created a new kingdom. You can then search those files Elvain gave you for the added kingdom. That should give you an insight on what you need to do to add your own kingdom.
Oh, and a good hint that helped me: *Always* keep backups of the files you modified in the last step. If you make a typing mistake somewhere, like accidentally adding a tabulator character without noticing, the game will not load anymore and you won't have any clue where to start searching for that single wrong character.
I think Memphisto's advice is the best he could give you.
I myslef learned modding by opening files he modified and in other winodow original files, observing what is changed and how, then did my own changes, then tried to edit this and that newly.. always having backups (especially when doing something new) and always testing the changes one after another (better than doing several changes you don't know and then you don't know what of your changes influenced what in the game)
also if you look into the What can you edit and where thread, search those files in text (in this case I am glad firefox has text search CTRL+f) and see what information they hold, then watch what are the changes in some of existing mod (in this case I can recomend you downloading my mapchanges from my signature) and try to master it yourself..
and if you come across a problem, just ask, but please don't ask us to describe you everything step by step... it would takle us ages and you still may not understand it enough ;)

First you must change the file maps/europe/map/kingdoms_800.ini
write in this:

So this is the first step!
Then you got to edit files: maps/europe/map/TrainUnits.txt and TrainUnits.xls
>> You got to write your new kingdom in it! So look at the other kingdoms, to see, what you got to write in there!
Maybe you will find an tutorial about this here!
Then edit file: maps/europe/politmap/kingdomnamepos0.in2
You got to remember, which number your New Kingdom have in maps/europe/map/kingdoms_800.ini!
Then you got to write: XX = some kind of 230,370! (To look it up, open introbase.bmp)
3. Edit file: maps/europe/map/kingdoms.ini (Or its maybe in maps/europe/kings/)
Just insert ur kingdom at the end:
105 = Your kingdomname
4. Edit: maps/europe/kings/ << create a new file, called like this: kingdom;800.txt
Write in:
[king]
name = Name of your king
[queen]
name = Name of the Queen (If the kingdom have one, if no delte line)
[princess_1]
name = Name of Princess (If your kingdom have one, if no delte line)
[prince_1]
name = Name of Prince (If your kingdom have one, if no, delte line)
If your kingdom dont have queen, princess or prince, just delte the line. If your kingdome have more Princess or Prince write in:
[prince/princess_1,2 or 3]
name = Name of Prince (If your kingdom have one, if no, delte line)
Soo I think, now it would work fine! Try it! If there are problems, write it! ;)

Ok but the one thing I don't get is how to add the kingdom;800 to the database. I can only replace existing things like abbasids;800 or else. So how?
Edited: I got it working and now the only problem is that every country is named "kingdomof" can I fix it?

Well it was king_title = Grand Prince
queen_title = Grand Princess
I changed it the queen_title to Queen and I will see.
By the way are you Bulgarian Bellum?

Well it is still bugged - all of the kingdoms have titles "kingdomof" and I saw this yesterday but forgot to tell you that the describtion is missing on all the countries without Papacy.
In kingdoms.ini I have writen bellow 104 = sweden
105 = Balamb
In kingdom_800.ini I changed the begining row - to count = 66
last = 65
devlevel = 25
and added:
[65]
name = Balamb
capital = 77
color1 = 11
color2 = 3
ornament = 26
polit_color = 119
human = 0
team = 0
fame = 1000
king_h = 0
king_id = 0
heir_id = 0
reputation = 0
title = Kingdom
king_title = King
queen_title = Queen
religion = 2,6
realms = 77
this is what I have changed in these places.

There are more problems - the skills of the princes and my king are named "ks1" and so on. Also the knights I hire have no name.

If I remember correctly, this kind of problems appear if you extract only part of the texts.pak. You should try extracting the entire .pak file and then I think it will go away.

There is a little problem still - when I start playing with my new country the AI plays aswell what to do?
What should it mean? Ai plays aswell?

Well yes I know that when you choose a country to play with it automaticaly turns ai off. But it doesn't. And there is another problem - I cannot play on High or Late time. For example with the Latins or Ottomans - the game crashes.
I maybe know, whats the problem:

Watch this realms. Search for the realms, which your new kingdom own! (Only in kingdoms_800.ini!) Maybe the realms are still used by an other country! You have to delte them. Your country must be the only country, which own this realms! You understand, what I mean?

I modding Karaman;1200
forexample
Kalenderoglu;1200 exchange (Karamans) :D
and change this kingdoms.ini
and create my Royal Courts

name = Veli
[prince_2]
name = Suleyman
[prince_3]
name = Kursad
and change my title my kingdom name is true in the game but my Royal Court is different
namely; My King names is in the game Abbas :cry: and nothing other family member
what is the problem ? pls help me :cry:

I think I remember that the [queen] and [prince_*] tags aren't functional. They are in the original scripts, but even there they have no effect.
The king-tag works, but I think the name needs to be a name from KoH's list of names, so KoH knows how to use the name gramatically correct.
* Both of this is just from memory. I'm only posting to give ideas to track down the problem.

so maybe make the change(Karaman-Kalenderoglu) only in the eu_realms.tsv and in the karaman_1200.txt(just edit king's and princes' names there) ?
