Hi all.

A lot of German Sites post that April 17th will be the release of Worldshift. Since this date is less than a month away, i'm wondering if that could really be possible. I mean we are in open beta right now and the game is not finished yet, it has to be burned on disc and shipped to retailers... so i guess thats all not possible in less than one month?

I doubt it'll be as early as that. Depending on how long the BETA lasts, which I imagine will go on into early April. Then they have to incorporate any fixes from the BETA test into the final version, release a demo and as you say, package and ship the game.

I expect we're looking at more late May, June time.

yea, thats too bad :( i was so looking forward to play the finished game in mid april.

but about the demo: i think i remember an interview where a developer stated that the demo will be released after the release of the game.

What about a demo? A demo will be released after the release of the game itself. We still have not decided exactly what contents from the game to include.

but ok who knows, he also stated in the interview that release will be april 20.

Finally, WorldShift’s release – any definite idea of when that might happen? WorldShift is scheduled to be released on April 20, 2008.

Just a case of waiting to hear official word. It shouldn't be too long anyway.

The moment we know more, we will of course publish a news about it.

Be patient people. I am more afraid of them being forced to rush the product out by the Publisher in a poor state (like happens with almost every game anymore) than the game taking too long. I actually hope they are allowed to take their time and release it when it is truly a polished "finished" project - even if that means it slips into next year ;)

I don't want to buy an uncompleted product. Leave BSS to do their job. STOP RUSHING THEM!

The BETA seems to be of a good standard, so hopefully it's not too far from completion. They're the best judges of that though.
