Say whats your favorite unit and give a reason for your choice. Please dont post any statistics about the units!
Halberdiers. Cause they can decimate cavalry.

Feudal Knights. Cause they can decimate infantry.

I always carry two squads of cavalry around. I tie up all the enemy troops with my infantry and then I do that glorious cavalry charge that completely mows down the enemy. Other people smile when they see pictures of smiling babies, I smile when I see the enemy army being crushed by my cavalry. :)

Anyway, there's nothing better than destroying most of the enemy army before it even reaches your army.
I think that the best are longbowmen, since they can fire at great distances and make even a ranged enemy unit with a low morale flee without getting hurt themselves.
I also like steppe cavalry, because they are fast and can do a great damage to an enemy. I usually use them to weaken and immoralize enemy by "hit-and-run" tactics.
But the coolest are definitely templars and teutonic knights.

Longbowman ! Very GOOD archer!
And then Men at Arms!
The disappoint part came that Islam Units are much weaker than Chatolic counterparts!!
Too bad that Koh don't use Morale booster!

I like Jannisaries, because they can fight with bow and sword very good.:D
I like Roman infantry and Normans - they are both very strong in both defense and attack and also very numerous...
then my favourite unit are Turkic Tarkans (something between steppe cavalry and cataphracts)

Roman infantry has wery ugly icons, so I never ever ever regrut them:evil:
Fuedal Knights and Men-at-arms are my favourite, but I also like Teutonic Knights and Templars.

I love making wierd combinations!
Highlanders with Roman Infantry Fighting alongside Crossbowmen and steppe cavalry race mammiluk cammal riders who are being followed by Janisaries and Desert spearmen, all while I'm the country Denmark XD
I like longbowmen. I often make most of my armies with archers (I prefer longbowmen, but can be any other range except crossbowmen as their range is too small) and spearmen (in case the opponent has cavalry and charges). This is good especially when defending a city or attacking city.

I have to agree, Longbowmen do make my favorite and most used.
My regular army setup
3 LongBowmen
2 Cavalry
1 Spearmen
3 Infantry
Thats my serious setup. The cavalry are usually the Kingdoms special cavalry, adn the Infantry is usually the Kingdom Special infantry.
In a town defense, I have mains 5 archers and 1 spearmen.
