I recently downloaded World Shift from FilePlanet...

System Specs: 512Mb Ram, 128meg video card (radeon 9000),2gighz processor (AMD)
Windows: Windows XP SP2

Problem: First, while loading, it shows several alerts indicating that there are several unexpected token and TECHNIQUE errors. Examples are below:

---

I simply clicked ok on all the several windows and tried to see if the game still worked... Upon Loading, i recieve a black screen with sound but no video... I click twice, and it sends me to a blue aura planet sort of window. But it has no menu, no login, nothing but the background...

Any fixes? (I have already tried/seen all the ones posted in the technichal dicsussion FAQ)

--- After i posted this i realized there is a bugs and etc. thread. I already screwed up once on the thread name so i figure if i make a new one it will be more needless spam :p. If someone could move this thread, that would be great ^_^.

Sounds like an issue with the graphics card. The ATi Radeon 9000 is pretty old now, and probably isn't up to the task of playing this game correctly.

Well surely you can't expect such old hardware to run games released nowadays? I think a new PC is in order (no point upgrading, the motherboard won't support many new parts).

well, can't get a job and can't get money from family/parents :P. New computer = Money = something i don't have :p.

i can Play L2, WoW, and (to my knowledge) every mmo game out on the market (not SMOOTHLY, but still is playable), i can also play UT2004 smoothly :P.

Ah well, I suppose I forget how lucky I am to be able to get a new PC and such.

I have a much newer system than you have mentioned yet I get many many errors on startup, in fact I work as a software developer and after seeing all these errors I wondered why I even bothered trying to help test the game out as I get enough of that sort of stuff when we do a first run of a game/other software.

Anyway good luck if you are going to be sticking with it

Would you post your system specs?
