Hello everyone... i was wondering if theres any way possible to make the game a little harder. I mean, i play it on Hard mode and its always as easy as it was the game before... once i have 7 to 10 provinces, im unstoppable... and the only way to make the game really hard is by destroying the papacy or claiming the ultimate ruler of Europe title
any ideas?

You want a tough game?
Well it's not too tough, but it is the hardest out of them all if you ask me.
Play a historical Jerusalem game on hard.
Be Jerusalem, and right from the start declare war with Bagdad, Fataminds and Cyprus. Do not trade with anyone or use clerics or spies..
This is incredably challenging, the only way you can win is if Bagdad isn't agressive, which it usually is.
well, your advice was not bad, Frankoman, but in fact he was asking how to make the game harder AFTER you have 7-10 provinces or more, and I'm afraid it is not of this kind. With Jerusalem you have extremely hard time at start, but once you get 7-10 provinces you are as unstoppable as any other kingdom.
From my own experience I can only recomend you some mods, to speak for myself only I'd recomend Holy Rome, but many people do recomend also MOD HARD by Laudan, both can be found in "Player mods" section.
With my mod I have never managed to keep a kingdom with 10-15 kprovinces together and continue in conquest. The only choice to win for me was to rule absolutely peacefully and achieve all kingdom advantages

And here is an Idea,
use three marshles, neither can be near eachother, and you can have no allies, naps, or traders.
Lets say your... Bohemia. have one marshle push through Germany, one through poland and hungary, and one go south.
That would be a tad tough... but not really... Hmm...

I have had the same problem, installation. Elvain has the instructions somewhere, did you find them?

The instructions are the following... but i really dont know what u mean in point 5.... i mean, when i run pakman theres no europe.pak... there are lots of "files" with the word europe on it but with something else too.. like "europemap"...
"Use PakMan (http://forum.sunflowers.de/showthread.php?t=3255):
1) make backup of the files: Knights of Honor/packs/defs.pak, europe.pak and texts.pak
2) run PakMan
3) open defs.pak
4a) right-click on any file in defs.pak
4b) follow: extract all files - to original directories (look at PakMan.jpg in the pack how to do it exactly)
5) do the same (step 4a and 4b) with europe.pak and texts.pak (and then close PakMan, you won't need it)
6) look that you have now new folders in your KoH directory (there shuold be following: defs, images, maps, movies, packs, system, Texts
7) decomprime HR mod
8) copy the files from HR mod to your KoH directory - files from HR/defs should replace files in your Knights of Honor/defs etc.
9) check if the files are copied in right places (for example try to open Knights of Honor/defs/Quests and there should be now much more files. First 3 (in alphabetical order) should be questinfo.ini, unite_alexandria.ini and unite_algiers.ini
10) check if there are new foldera in your KoH directory (Knights of Honor/images and Knights of Honor/movies) which were not there before you installed the mod (so now there should be following folders: defs, images, maps, movies, packs, system, Texts)
check also Installation1jpg and instalation-defs-quests.jpg if your mod is installed right - your folders should include same folders/files as are on the pics
11) run Knights of Honor and enjoy it"

Oh you are lucky to have gotten it at BestBuy, I had to get my copy from Ebay.

just the files that have been changed... you've gotta install the game first and then the mod.

Yeah it was the last one in stock, and the guy had to go fish for it in the back. :P
i got it awhile ago though.
Only the changed files? *horrified* *drives to bestbuy to try to buy it again*
