I was just thinking..does anyone use rippers at all? On paper they sure are fast and have (astonishing) 3% stun chance but I find them too fragile to last long in the fight ..the only situation I found them effective was anti-trooper swarm. Just wondering -if they do some small AoE dmg when they explode would that make them more useful?
They are good against Troopers, Warriors and Tritechs, if you have the blocking specialization.
The problem with them (as with any melee massing) is that there is too much crowd control in this game. And crowd control is the bane of the melee mass. The fact that they are generally useful in large groups doesn't help at all to counter this.

Actually rippers have block chance by default, they could be speced for Elusion witch gives 20% chance to completely ignore ranged dmg. And yes they suck :)
Hm reppers sucks that mean humans dont have any mele units they almost unusable and they are realy stupid )) only if jou have 4x construstors they srrive for a 20 sec longer ))

1. make from two rippers one i mean all things 2x , health , cost ,damage... :cool:
2. some spec abilities like dig under ground and wait unitil eniemies are come and than undig and atack tham

Hm i sad that for example maybe better not dig but some mask field until they not move the are invisible for enimies..... ore some one another ability
