View Full Version : Strategy against Tribes freeze + incinerate
What can you do against freeze + incinerate? When I play with Cult against Tribes I often lose all my units caught in freeze, because 2 sorcerers cast incinerate under them and when freeze is over they have about 10-20% HP left.
I'd consider nerfing ALL kind of AOE effect in some way.
-Incinerate should not stack. If two incinerate is cast on the same location, only one should do damage.
-Crowd control effects should have some kind of diminishing returns. For example the second freeze (in 2v2 or more) right after the first should last for less time.
-An other way to nerf crowd control: X amount of damage should break some crowd control spells. Maybe X should vary depending on the spell.
And the taunt problem I already mentioned here (http://forums.blackseastudios.com/showpost.php?p=7827&postcount=7):
-It should not affect officers and commanders. It's completely the same as a crowd control skill.

Or we leave them as is and you learn to use Crowd Control too. Just a suggestion :)
i would suggest you get some aoe healing to counter the damage and to not group in a tight formation so not many will get aoe
the weak point of tribes is their officers if you kill them they will fail and lose
Something that needs pointing out here is that units can either be frozen or burned, but it makes no sense to be both at the same time. Heat trumps cold, so the ice should melt when frozen units are incinerated. :cool:

Aha about Its magic! so magic have they rules too ,ore you thinks it dont have them ( maybe not that that jou want ,ore me want but it must have rules

Simply if it turns air in crystal than the flmes cant touch all who is in crystal ore do much less damage , becase crystal are not air.

My big complaint against CC and the Tribes...the tribes actually have a unit with a way to counter CC spells. Since Shaman can purge any fear, freezing, confuse, stasis, or whatever, you need to have more CC units than they have Shaman to cancel. Too many times I've been lucky enough to get a fear or stasis in only to have it canceled..and then I'm frozen and beaten.
tribes have powerful abilities for their officers that is a given but half of their officers are weak in health and damage and all have default no armor. the tribes regular melee unit have armor and good amount of health but bad damage and the range units are just plain weak and armorless.
