just one question: HOW?
make a time and date suitable for us all then meet on gamespy on that date

What about to use same settings (mod etc.), start one game as one kingdom and send the game to several people at the very beggining. And compare where will diferent players
Exaple: I start a game as Armenia in high period where I have no trade agreements and am at no war, save the game at the very beggining and send the save to volunteers and we will compare our games
for me it would be much more challenging than meeting someone on a battlefield

We have done this before, thought I don't know what happened to the thread. Someone should post a thread, about 6 people could join and they each choose a country. For example Player 1 chooses Teutonic Order, instantly pauses, saves then passes on to all other players, who then use bsswitch to the country they chose, after everyone chose their kingdoms everyone playes then compare results afterwards.

That was cooperative multiplayer and it requires all to have certain time.
But I meant that several players (unlimited number) will agree on one kingdom to play, one of them will start a game with certain conditions and send a savefile from the very beggining (0:00) to all others.
And then all will play as they want, no switching, they will just all play that certain kingdom in certain conditions and later they can describe how is the game going within 1 hour, 2 hours etc.
The save would be sent just once to all, no more switching and sending... absolute contest in equal conditions ;)

Hey, look what i found...
Its an interview with Vesselin Handjiev, lead designer and producer of Knights of Honor.
Here, he talks about the design of the game but he is also asked about multilayer game on the Europe map. As you all know, many of us were wondering why couldn't we play on the BIG map... and heres his answer to that question.
Vesselin: "The only reason for this is the essence of the game mechanics and rules behind the game. It is meant to be played by a single player on the giant map of Europe. Because it’s hard for me to explain it I will give you an example. Imagine that you play the game and all your enemies are AIs. If you lose a battle the enemy AI can still come to you with a peace proposal, can ask you for a land or gold, but will hardly destroy you without any negotiations. In the other hand, if you play with your friends and get in the same situation when player X is stronger than player Y, it is in the human nature that X will wipe Y from the map without any doubts. That’s why multiplayer games are always meant to be arenas where players meet and fight. To make such a multiplayer in KOH would mean to invent completely different mechanics and game rules. And that would mean a completely different game."
