It appears to be an attempt to flaunt the victory of KU in the US NCAA Basketball championship. Apparently he doesn't realize nobody here cares.

Don't worry if you don't know NBG, it just means: NCAA - National Collegiate Athletic Association. It really doesn't have any relevance, except to Americans who don't know much about the wider world.
